Drawings for Hobonmicon #1 Cover

Here are a couple versions of the drawing for the upcoming Hobonomicon #1, before they get pasted to a board and go into the full painting arena. These are scans of the same piece of paper in slightly different stages of progress. A lot of the time adding washes to a pencil drawing really starts to help me understand where I'm going. In this case the watercolor in green and blue both helped me decide something about values in the piece as well as consider some color choices. --DK
